outstanding natural ability and a serious commitment toward team success... rewrote nearly every Miami passing and total offense
record en route to winning the University's first Heisman Trophy in 1986...he played in only one losing regular-season game
and was a consensus All-American selection after serving for three years in a back-up capacity to Miami quarterback legends
Jim Kelly and Bernie Kosar... completed 413 of 674 career passing attempts for 6,058 yards and 48 touchdowns in two years
as the Miami starting quarterback.
